Trina lost 50 pounds

Hi my name is Trina and I just want to sahre my journey with you all:-) My before picture was taken in September of 2011 at 230lbs. I didn’t start my journey until January of 2012 When I knew without a doubt I was ready for my change! My after picture (middle photo) was taken in June of 2012. In less than six months I was down to my goal weight 180 lbs. I told to ya’ll I was ready!! I prayed long and hard about this change and I knew it was gonna happen:) I began slowly changing my eating habits and started making more healthier choices. I basically started eating “cleaner” 90% percent of the time:-) Lean meats, whole-grain and fruit and veggies. I also got myself back in the gym and stayed consistent. I do everywork out and machine there is along with weighting lifting and running. I lost 50lbs of excess baggage!! I had to work from the inside out removing some deep insecurities I had been suppressing for years! I began to truly love myself and started taking care of my temple. My mind was finally freed from all that bondage! God has truly given me the strength do ALL things!! I feel great! My whole mind, body and spirit has changed and this is about a lifestyle change!! My transformation after nine months of eating clean and amping up my workouts (third photo). I’ve always loved my shape but had the desire to be fit as well!! It’s a balancing act but with self-love and dedication it can be done!! I’m currently 178 (52lbs gone!) and have no desire to loose anymore weight. My goal now is to tone, trim and lift:-)

    Awesome!!!! I know what I need to but I can’t get my mind there yet. The motivation is sorely lacking. I hope to find it soon.

      You look so good, congratulations, The before picture of you @ 230, I know it wasn’t healthy but you carried that 230 well you looked good even before the weightloss. I’m also on a journey but it’s very difficult to change the physical you need to change the mental, still a work in progress!

    Great job!!! My goal also is to weigh 175lbs and I have 50lbs to lose by next June but 30 by next April for sure!! I weigh 241lbs and if I continue on the path I’m on, I too will be 50lbs lighter. Myfitnesspal helps out tremendously and I am diligent about following my calorie goals!!! This is a lifestyle change and through diligence, I will meet my weight loss and healthy goals!! Kudos to you for achieving your goals!!

    Congratulation to you. I believe that loosing weigh is a lifestyle change as I’m on the same journey. I was at 230lbs but I have lost 11 so far and is excited. Job well done.

    Congrats Trina! You looked great before and after. But, I agree 100% with you that it is about a lifestyle change. I have also lost 50 pounds; however I plan to lost another 50 to reach my goal.

    You look beautiful. I have been on my journey for over 6 weeks and have lost 20 pounds. I want to get down to 150 pounds. I have changed my eating habits and work out 5 to 6 days a week.     You look amazing!!! How did you stay consistent? That’s where I fall short. I love lifting weights, only have 20lbs to lose, but I never worked out to lose weight prior to the weight gain. I used to work out to maintain my weight and keep building my strength. How did you find that balance? Congratulations again. you inspire me to keep going.
