Hey BWLW sistahood,

It’s Day 24 and I’m feeling good. I’m down 8 lbs!! I’ve heard some great feedback on Facebook and our online community and I just wanted to post here on the blog so that ladies can share their thoughts on the Smoothie Challenge.

Have you lost weight?

Have you seen any changes in terms of health and vitality?

Have you learned anything that will help you to go forward with your weight loss goals?

I love the smoothie challenge because I have been able to include more veggies in my eating habits which is a great thing!! I been on this challenge for a little over a week and have lost inches and over 5lbs!! My plan is to continue this as part of a lifestyle change. I feel awesome, energetic, no craves for the ” bad carbs” and I am beginning to sleep well without sleep aids!! I am looking forward in to meeting my next goal of 50lbs loss.

Ditto to Janice comment. I too love the smoothie challenge… For three weeks, I’ve been drinking at least two smoothies a day and feel like I am getting ample fruit and veggies. Have more energy and feeling confident that “I am on the right track.” I have been spending one to two hours in the gym doing cardio and strengthing exercises. I have lost about 5 pounds and some inches but have many many more to go. I have been using “my fitness pal” app to track my food and exercises. It is free and has proven to be effective in helping me stay on track.

I really like the smoothie challenge. I have lost about 2-4in. As far as my weight, I don’t know cause I try and stay far away from the scale. I have way more energy, do when I’m exercising I feel so light on my feet. I even made a couple of smoothies for my family and they loved it. It’s also great for me cause it’s a quick way to get my daily fruis and veggies in. Thanks a lot for this challenge.

I loved the September smoothie challenge! I’ve lost 5 lbs since doing it and have been so glad to get all the smoothie recipes that had been listed! My favorite has been the peanut butter/chocolate smoothie but I have to admit the collard green smoothie is quickly pushing it aside!!! I love drinking my nutrients!!

      Hey Marilyn:

No worries. Do not beat yourself up. I too had trouble getting started but what I decided to do was start off with just one smoothie a day. I replaced my dinner meal with a smoothie and what really keeps me motivated is trying new things. Also, having all of your ingredients readily available helps as you have no excuse not to start because you don’t have to go to the store or out of the house to get anything. YOU CAN DO!! WE CAN DO IT!!!

I wouldn’t say that. If you tried then that is something. Perhaps it just wasn’t the right challenge for you.

I enjoyed this challenge I am down 12 pounds so far and have eaten kale, collards, almond butter, flax seeds and all kind of fruit blended in my Ninja. I am going to continue with smoothies….I’m loving it.I have a Las Vegas trip to win as soon as I lose 26 more pounds. I am up to 30 minutes on the elliptical proud of my self before joining this site I was only doing 3 minutes. My energy level is through the roof.

I didn’t do 2 smoothies barely 1 a day, but I have lost 10 pounds in 4 weeks and I can see a difference in fit and energy. I do aqua aerobics 2-3 days/week and try to do high protein, low carb, so the smoothie is high carb cheating 😎 , but it’s working. I have a goal to be under 200 by my next doctor’s appt. I was 222, down to 212 and counting. I love this website. It is encouraging me and my roommate and friends to continue even though we are all on different weight loss regimines.

I been totally well almost fully committed for the last 2 weeks and partially the first two. I had to go through a transition. But now I got this. I have drop about 13 pounds maybe about 5 pounds of that was fluid. But with this challenge I have not been bloated like I have. I try new ways to make my smoothies. I think I am training my husband with this new lifestyle change, hope I can make it last with him. I gave myself a free day today but I did not do too bad. I at some fried catfish and a large serving of collard greens and turned away from the fries and bread. I wanted to beat myself up. I still managed to keep my calorie count in range. I was 230 at the beginning of September and been at a stand still for years in that range. Now since I made it this far and to reach 217 I am determined to be about 180 or less by the end of the year. Good luck to all and we can do this.
