Transformation of the Day: Jacqueline lost 68 pounds. After years of yo yo dieting this proud mom knew that it was time for a lifestyle change. She knew that her children were watching her and she wanted to be a healthy and happy example for them. Check out how she changed her life.

My name is Jacqueline D. Last year, in April 2016, I decided to embark on a weight loss journey. After years of yo yo dieting, I finally got serious because I was tired of being unhappy with myself. My children inspired me to keep going because they could see that I was making a lifestyle change. I felt like they served as my accountability.

How did you change your eating habits?
I started my journey by cleaning up my diet. I stopped eating fried foods and bread. I incorporated more fruits, vegetables, and lean meats into my meals. I also started juicing and drinking smoothies.

What did you do in terms of exercise?
I worked out five to six days a week. My routine consisted of HIIT training, cardio, and strength training in the Revamp boot camp.

Starting and Current Weight
My starting weight was 290 pounds. I currently weigh 222 pounds, and I’m 5’7″ tall. All natural, no weight loss surgery or weight loss pills. I still have a ways to go, but I’m feeling so much better, especially physically. I have tons of energy now. This is definitely a lifestyle change, and I’m loving it.

What is your advice for others who want to lose weight?
My advice to others is to make a commitment and stick to it and to PRAY CONSISTENTLY! Change the way you think, and you will change your life.

    You have really encouraged me to start my lifestyle change. I’m 46 & I’m starting at the same weight you did. My problem is it’s hard for me to get motivated. Did you go through something similar to that at the beginning of your journey, and if so how did you overcome it?
