Let’s show some love to Jenn. She recently lost 42 pounds. Here is what she shared about losing the weight:
“My motivation was when I got up to 240 pounds. I said enough is enough. When I lost the first ten pounds I felt great but then my depression came back & I stopped doing everything I was doing for awhile. When I finally checked my weight again I finally realized no one can make the change but me.
I started walking and walking turned to jogging. Jogging turned to running. I loved when my weight came off and I could do something I couldn’t before or was too tired to do. It felt so good when people told me that they noticed me losing weight. I eventually joined a gym but I ended up quitting because I love mother nature. It’s so beautiful when you walk and smell fresh air or hear birds singing.
I have changed my eating habits a lot. I am not gonna lie, I do have days where it’s hard but I try my best to stay on track. The first thing I did was cut out any sugar drinks completely & started drinking tea with every meal. At first it was gross but I eventually got use to this new way of eating. I love trying new teas because some are specifically made for weight lost. Next, I cut out red meat and just stuck with chicken & fish. I learned that it won’t get boring eating this way if you know how to mix up different things & make healthy dishes. I started eating a lot of veggies & had no problems with fruit. My thing was getting rid of eating pastas, bread, rice but eventually I did.
My current weight is 198 pounds, down from being 240 & my transformation has been about eight months. Some days were hard where I messed around and had one too many cheat days but my best friend helps me keep track. My advice for other women who have an eating disorder like myself, just don’t think they can do or don’t have anyone to root them on: Know that you are a strong women. We are made to go through childbirth so if we can go through that, you can shed those pounds & be a happier, healthier person. Only you can make that change and say that enough is enough. No more excuses! Now, even when I feel like am gonna have a bad day, I look myself in thee mirror and say “Don’t give up Chic. Get to you goal.”. Well, that’s my story I will keep you guys updated when I reach my goal. Thanks for taking the time out to read my story.”
