My name is Valerie an this is my story. I had lap band surgery in April 2009 I weighted 242lbs. I have lost a total of 90 lbs I went from a size 22 to a 10/12 an loved every bit of it. Around June of 2012 at night when u went to sleep I no longer could sleep on my side where my port was located I only could sleep on my left side which it didn’t bother me at first cause I’m a side sleeper. Then when July came I notice at night I would vomit up this black stuff it didn’t happen every night maybe about once every two weeks but in the August I had went on vacation an while there I kept on vomitting up the black stuff it was horrible it smelled bad taste bad in my mouth pleased upon my return from vacation I admittedly went to the doctor to see why was this happening she said call the doctor who put that lapband in. Once I called his office they made me an appointment to see the upper GI specialist the day I saw her an they X-ray me she called my lapband doctor an he sheduled me in the hostipal. My port had slip from me vomitting so much he put it back but open me back up in just 3 weeks after the surgery I had gain 20 lbs by December I had gain 50 lbs now in the mean time I’m still going to him getting my port filled every 6 weeks like clock work. The port the injections nothing is working before I couldn’t eat bread drink soda have any kind of hot food no fruit no eggs nothing but now I can have the hog if I wouldn’t to. I go to see him in a few days for injection number 6 let’s see if that works. I haven brought me any clothes really cause I’m a women’s size 14 an a 1X in blouse an I hate it ever so badly I was wearing medium blouse going on the clearance rack an just picking things up that feeling is so long ago so pleased pray for me have me in your thoughts and hopefully everything will get back to the way it was
