Transformation of the Day: Tiffany lost 86 pounds. As a mom and wife, she lost herself in the day to day grind of home and work. Depression and self esteem issues developed as she gained more weight. One day, she decided that she didn’t love what she saw in the mirror. That’s when she started to re-shape her life with healthy eating habits and exercise. Check out her journey.
My name is Tiffany and I’ve lost 86 pounds since Dec 2015. The first picture is of me in Oct 2015 at 350 pounds. The second picture is of me in Feb 2017. I’m married with 2 children and I had lost myself
over the years in the daily humdrum of work, home and not taking care of me.
I started having depression and self esteem issues over the years as I gained more and more weight. 350 pounds is the most I’ve ever weighed. (Height: 5’2″) I looked in the mirror one day and just decided I hated what was looking back at me. So, I started making small changes in portion sizes, but not denying myself of the good stuff on occasions. I cut out the sodas cold turkey and cut back on the sweets. My meals consisted of a protein and lots of veggies.
Shortly after a hysterectomy in Dec 2015 and losing some weight, I had a much needed breast reduction in May 2016. That helped more than I could have imagined and the pounds continued to melt away over the months. Walking daily, taking Zumba class and doing the T25 and Cize programs have all been factors in my weight loss. I worked out 5-7 days a week. Some days, I would do 3 workouts. Some days, I’d walk a few miles and do a workout.
This is just a midway point for me, my journey is not over. I have another 100 pounds to lose.
Advice: I’ll tell anyone, DON’T GIVE UP, even if you start and restart 1000 times. Slow progress is still progress!
