Are you saying that the blond woman at the top is African American?

I know we come in all colors but I don’t see even a trace of black blood in her (which may explain why SHE was on the cover and not the one who actually looks black).

It’s nice that she lost weight but seeing as though this is supposed to be a site that should be motivational to women of color, the last thing we should be reminded of is that despite our successes that we’re going to be placed on the back burner in magazines. We should be highlighting the successes of recognizable black women who do not have the luxury of carrying a “backpack full of privilege” just because no one recognizes their race!
