Transformation of the Day: Trevae lost 68 pounds. This proud mom tried may diets and plans over the years, but she restarted her journey at the beginning of 2016. She took time to figure out what works for her, in terms of eating and exercising. Her hard work shows. Check out her story.

My daughter was my motivation. It was hard for me to breathe when runningΒ or doing any activities that consist of really moving. I knew it was time for a change!Β I tried many diets but was unsuccessful from 2014-2015. My weight went upΒ and down.
At the beginning of 2016, I changed my life! I started to fast with my church. AfterΒ the fast my eating habits changed. I didn’t use aΒ “special diet” or surgery. IΒ just decided to cut out red meat, sugary foods, pop and juice. IΒ started to make shakes with a lot of fruit and veggies. I had plenty ofΒ beans, peanut butter and various other foods forΒ protein.
I use to have to force myself to exercise 3-5 times aΒ week. I love to exercise now! I joined Planet FitnessΒ in January of 2016 and began with cardio. It was very hard to get adjustedΒ at first. I started at my own pace.Β The treadmill became my best friend. Later,Β I worked out about 4 times a week, two days of cardio and two days of strength training.
My highest weight was 288 pounds and now I weigh 220 pounds. I’m 5’5″ tall. The photo on the leftΒ is the reason I started my business, Black, Educated and Fit. IΒ literally cried looking at this pic because I use to be so uncomfortable. IΒ thank God everyday for the transformation!
Advice: Never give up! Your life depends on it. Each day is a new day. Start overΒ everyday until you get it right. It may startΒ off as a 21 day challenge. TheΒ 21 day challenge can becomeΒ a habit. Seek out a routine that works best for you.Β Remember, surround yourself with individuals that have the same goal asΒ you…. Winning!
