Tranformation of the Day: Briana lost 47 pounds. This mother of two was motivated to take action and change her unhealthy eating habits after being diagnosed pre-diabetic. She did her research and cut down on sugar, flour and refined carbs. Check out her story.
My name is Briana and I am a motivated mother of 2 beautiful girls! The struggle has been real for a couple of years now! I wish I could blame the weight on having kids. However, I take 100% responsibility for just being LAZY and my UNHEALTHY EATING!
In June 2016, I decied to approach my weigh and my overall health differently. Instead of asking doctors for diet pills, I spoke to my doctor about my breathing, labs and poor sleeping habits. Getting prescribed pre-diabetic medication was a HUGE wake up call. Suddenly, none of the foods I was so addicted to seemed worth it.
I’d always heard that minimizing your flour/ sugar intake works, but never had the willpower to cut them out! Well, I found that willpower and I lost 47 poundss by just watching what I eat alone! I prepare my own meals as much as possible and forbid myself from going to fast food restaurants.
Here is an example of the meals I would eat. Mainly chicken, salad and greens. I completely took rice, pasta and breads out of my diet!
I am 5’5″ tall and started at 234 pounds. I now weigh 187 pounds. Now, that I have my eating habits under control, I recently signed up for the gym and I’m super excited about the next chapter in my journey! I have started with Cardio at my local gym, 3 times a week.
I would say to anyone who is trying to lose weight that it will happen when you are 100% ready and committed to changing your lifestyle.
