How have you maintained your weight loss/continued to lose weight?
I started my weight loss journey on July 27, 2016 and I’ve lost 65 pounds! I kept it off by following the 3 D’s; Discipline, Dedication, and Determination.
I have maintained my weight loss by making sure that I eat breakfast, because it helps me to not over eat during the day. I eat foods that I enjoy. However, I do watch my portion sizes, because portion size keeps me from overeating. Instead of eating out with co-workers for lunch, I pack my lunch to make sure that I get enough fiber and protein.
As far as exercise, I walk for one hour each day, 6 days a week, on my treadmill and/or around my neighborhood. Exercise is critical for weight loss, because it is a very important way to keep the weight off. Also, I stay motivated!
What are the biggest lessons you’ve learned on this journey so far? What stands out the most?
The biggest lesson that I have learned thus far on my weight loss journey is that getting off track still happens and can happen a lot. Exercise makes a huge difference. A healthy lifestyle is a disciplined lifestyle!
At this point, would you offer any new/different advice to people who who want to lose weight?
My advice to people who want to lose weight is to believe in yourself. Speak it into existence! Trust your journey. Trust the process. Never compare yourself to anyone and keep moving forward! – Instagram: @Fit_Chic_

I started my weight loss journey on July 27, 2016 when I noticed that my breathing was getting bad. Since then, I have been eating clean and exercising for the last 3 months (as of October 27, 2016). I just want to inspire others that are on this journey to Never Give Up!
What was your inspiration?
What inspired me to keep going when I wanted to give up was that I was aware of that feeling (of wanting to give up) because of past failures. I was totally prepared for it this time.
How did you change your eating habits?
I first changed my eating habits by making small changes. As time went on, I have completely transformed my eating habits by not eating junk food and processed foods. Also, I do not drink soda anymore. I eat boiled eggs, sliced bacon, oatmeal, grilled chicken, tilapia, green vegetables, fruits and nuts. I drink a gallon of water a day. I would also note that I became very adamant about not eating after 6 pm.
What did you do in terms of exercise?
My workout is routine is walking. I walk 6 to 7 days a week.
Starting weight/Current weight
My starting weight was 235 pound and now I weigh 190 pounds. My height is 5’6″. My transformation took 3 months, from July to October 2016.
What is your advice for other people who want to lose weight?
My advice to others who want to lose weight is to Think Positive. Set a realistic goal, start with small changes, and drink a lot of WATER. Water is your best friend. Water is the only magic pill!
