Transformation of the Day: Mesha lost 94 pounds. During pregnancy and after giving birth to her daughter, she experienced significant weight gain. She has worked to release the weight with HIIT training, cardio, and a plant-based diet.
When did you start your journey?
My weight loss journey began in 2015.
What was your motivation?
After gaining so much weight with when I was pregnant with my daughter (and continuing to gain weight to add on after that), my weight reached 318 pounds.
One day, my daughter ran in the street, and I couldn’t catch her! No cars came, thank God, but that was my wake up call.
How did you change your eating habits?
Through the years, I have tried many diets and many workout plans, but ultimately what I have been doing for the last year is eliminating red meat and pork from my diet. I’m keeping my eating habits as close to plant-based as I can!
What does your workout routine consist of?
I do my best to work out 4-5 times a week, doing a mix of HIIT and cardio.
How much weight have you lost so far?
My biggest goal is to reach 100 pounds lost, and so far I have lost 94 pounds.

What advice do you have for people who want to lose weight?
This journey has been trial and error for me. The best thing I can say in terms of advice: Listen to your body and do what works for you . With so many diets and new quick fixes out there, it is easy to compare your progress to the progress made by other people. I hope my story will help other mothers and any one who reads this to keep going!!
