What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going when you wanted to give up?
My biggest motivation was wanting to live a better life for my daughter and being healthy to watch her grow up. At my heaviest weight, 285 pounds, I knew that I needed to change my life because I could not imagine weighing over 300 pounds.
How did you change your eating habits?
At the beginning of the year, I tried a Vegan diet, and I was able to lose a few pounds. However, my real success came from switching to a Keto/ low carb diet, which enabled me to lose over 50 lbs.
How often did you workout?
I work out about 5 or 6 times a week with one rest day.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 285 pounds, and my current weight is 231 pounds.

5 feet, 7 inches
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started my journey in January 2019, so I’ve lost 54 lbs in almost one year.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
I’ve never had surgery.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
I learned that I can do anything that I set my mind to.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
It is a marathon and not a sprint. Also, don’t be so hard on yourself after you mess up or go off track. Just keep going.
