Chasitie before and after

When did you start your journey?
I started my weight loss journey in February 2018. I lost 253 pounds in 18 months.

Starting weight/Current weight
My starting weight was 540 pounds. My current weight is 251 pounds, and my height is 5’3″.

What was your motivation?
My motivation is/was my son. Being a single mother meant I had to teach my son how to ride a bike, and I knew it was going to be VERY hard at 504 pounds. So, I told myself I was going to lose weight for him.

How did you take action?
I joined a gym and started working out in their work out classes twice a day at least five days a week. I also changed my eating habits — no more fast food or sweets. I ate mainly baked/grilled chicken or fish with veggies (I do have my weak moments and fall back into bad habits).

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
The biggest lesson I learned is that you really can get through your hardest moments in life if you just keep going.

What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
The best advice I can give anybody who needs to make a change: Sometimes, doing it for yourself isn’t enough. Do it for somebody/anybody else until you’re able to love yourself enough to do it for you.
