Transformation of the Day: Jessica lost 135 pounds. After she had a miscarriage in 2018, her doctor suggested weight loss surgery, but that wasn’t the right choice for her. With Keto and Intermittent Fasting, she has created a healthy lifestyle and regained her confidence.
When did you start your journey?
In December 2018, I had a miscarriage. I went in for a D&C procedure, and at the time, I weighed 366 pounds. My doctor brought up weight loss surgery to help get some of the weight off, but I didn’t feel comfortable with that option.
On January 1, 2019, I learned about Keto. I stopped eating everything that wasn’t low carb. I also started Intermittent fasting, weighing my food, and drinking nothing but water. I was so amazed and motivated by the results that I continued with Keto, going on to lose even more weight.
A year and three months later, I’ve lost 135 pounds. I now weigh 231 pounds, and I’m working to lose about 40 more.
What is your workout routine?
I haven’t been consistent with working out, but my goal for 2020 is to work on toning my new body.
What is your height?
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
Weight loss and eating healthy is a lifestyle. Change won’t happen overnight, but it will happen.
What advice would you like to share?
My advice to anyone who wants to lose weight: Remain consistent, be patient, and trust the process. Every day won’t be a good day, but every day shouldn’t be a bad day either. Find what works for you, your life, and your body. Everyone’s journey is different.
This journey has taught me to never settle for less. I now see that the weight I carried was my comfort zone. I allowed me to hide all of my pain. Today, I’m a new me, and confidence is my best look.
