Hello, My name is Laura. I am 25 years old and I come from Paris, France. The stress of studying and a poor diet made me gain a lot of weight. At first it did not bother me, because I was always able to fit back into my clothes. The weight didn’t bother me until the day that I didn’t recognize myself anymore.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
I weighed 106 kilos (233 pounds) and I currently weigh 91 kilos (200 pounds). So, I lost 15 kilos (33 pounds) in 6 months. I am 170 centimeters tall (5’5″). Now, I would like to lose another 10 kilos.
What was your motivation?
My motivations: Going on holiday while having a complex about being overweight. Also, being in the foreground of the pictures from my brothers wedding. Those photos showed me that I could not wear the same clothes anymore.
How did you change your eating habits?
I started rebalancing my eating habits based with several phases:
- 2 weeks balanced diet
- 2 weeks of a more intensive diet where I eliminated either starchy foods or meat.
What did you do for exercise?
I have always loved sport, so I played sports 3-4 times a week.
What advice would you share with other people who want to release the weight?
The advice I can give is that you have to believe in yourself and focus on weight loss. Your efforts will pay off and you will feel so much better when you feel good in your body. We can be comfortable in our skin, both personally and professionally.
