What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
310 pounds to 168 pounds NATURALLY. Keto and exercise have been my muses.
When did you start your weight loss journey?
My journey started in late 2017. However, it really became my life in late 2018 – early 2019, when I mastered the Ketogenic lifestyle.
What was your motivation?
My motivation was wanting to LIVE a full life. I wanted to become free. Weighing 300lbs at 5’3″ is very restrictive.
What inspired you to keep going when you wanted to give up?
My biggest inspiration to keep going was myself. I always made a habit of putting others first, and that was my downfall. I had to put my goals and dreams ahead of everything else.
How did you change your eating habits?
My eating habits changed altogether. Keto and intermittent fasting (starting with 16/8, and now 20/4) made me more aware of what I was putting in my body. I realized that I didn’t need to consume so much food in one sitting.
What did your workout routine consist of?
Along with strict core workouts and resistance training, I worked out 5-6 days a week for an hour at a time. I worked out mostly at the gym before quarantine began.
I vowed to hit my goal weight and completely reshape my body during quarantine with strict core workouts and resistance training. I’ve done just that! I’ve lost 37lbs during quarantine ALONE! WHAT WAIST! Mind you this, was single-handedly the result of “AT-HOME” workouts.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
My biggest piece of advice is to push yourself, even when you don’t want to. That is truly the best time to do it.
