Monica lost 47 pounds. A plant based diet, lots of water and portion control really worked for her. Check out her story.
What was your motivation?
My biggest reason why: I looked at my pictures and they made me want
change right away.
How long did your transformation take?
I wanted to be slimmer. Every day I tried out different things but
nothing worked. Then, I watched the documentaries “What the Health” and “Forks Over Knives”. I decided to go Vegan.
On January 1st, I started a Vegan diet. I strictly ate plant-based products. I also used portion control and drank more water.
In my first month, I was down 11 pounds just from eating a plant-based diet. I kept losing and losing more weight. For the full 11 months, I did not work out.
When I started this journey, it was not about weight. It was more about my health and animals. I didn’t start going to the gym because of school and work schedule.
How did you change your eating habits?
I gave up fast food, all sugars and black coffee. I just ate a whole food, plant-based diet.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
I started at 167 pounds, and I currently weigh 120 pounds. I am 4’11”.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
My biggest lesson is that it is possible, and it can be done. If you don’t do it, no one else can it for you. Only you can do it.
What advice would you like to share?
Never give up. Wake up and do it.
