My name is Tamika, and I lost 70 pounds in 7 months. I lost the weight naturally by working out four days a week and switching up my eating habits.
How long has your journey taken so far?
I’ve been consistent with my journey for 11 months now.
What was your motivation?
When I found out my dad has diabetes, I decided to change my lifestyle.
How did you change your eating habits?
I cut out beef, pork, fast food, and sodas. I also practice intermittent fasting and portion control. I use an app called Zero to keep track of my fasting. I fast from 12 to 14 hours a day.
What does your workout routine consist of?
My workouts include cardio, lifting weights, or walking 5 miles at the park.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is to have patience and to practice self-discipline.
