Refeloe lost 20 pounds, going from a size 14 to a size 10. Our sista from South Africa changed her eating habits, exercised regularly and changed her mindset to get results. I love that she said, “Impossible means I’m+possible.”
My name is Refeloe K. and I’m from South Africa. I started my weight loss journey last year after realizing how I was picking up weight and losing confidence. My starting weight in November 2015 was 165 pounds and I now weigh 145 pounds. My current weight is what I have maintained since February 2016.
I have never been happier and I’ve been confident from size 14 to size 10. I got lost of inspiration from watching motivational videos on YouTube and saving pictures from pages like yours, looking at them everyday to keep me going.
I am planning on losing an extra 11 pounds more and then I’ll start again with lifting weights for some lean muscle. I did lots of road races and went to the gym 5 days a week using the treadmill and lifting 3 times a week.
It really wasn’t easy giving up all the chocolates and not eating fast foods. I ate Special K bran flakes with low fat milk and 1 boiled egg for breakfast. I ate lots of lean mince with vegetables, and sometimes with brown rice. I would have chicken breast for lunch and eat rice cakes with peanut butter and yogurt for dinner. Sometimes I wouldn’t eat since I used to leave gym late. I would have an Ultra lean shake from USN instead of dinner just to fill me up. I also drank lots of water and I’m actually loving the extra benefits of having beautiful skin.
I’m 5ft tall and loving that I didn’t lose my curves in this journey. Instead my body got a nicer shape and definition. This journey requires you to mentally prepare yourself. It is all about dedication, determination and discipline. Impossible means I’m+possible.
