Gyms across the nation are closed due to the pandemic. As we practice social distancing to reduce the spread, we also want to keep making progress when it comes to our weight loss and fitness goals. Well, I’ve got some Good News! Recently, I’ve seen lots of new, free content and limited time offers popping up from fitness brands that want to help us stay on track during these challenging times. Here are a few examples…
Planet Fitness
Planet Fitness is live streaming free “Home Work-ins” on Facebook Monday – Friday at 7 p.m. EST. These workouts will be led by their team of personal trainers, along with “special guests.” These sessions will be 20 minutes or less. You can also find these workouts on YouTube. (If you are a member, don’t forget to check out the exercise resources on their app as well.)
Orangetheory
Orangetheory has launched Orangetheorty At Home. They are posting daily 30 minute workouts featuring their coaches. They know that everyone may not have a treadmill or other equipment, so they showing people how to use things they may have around the house to get a good workout.
Peloton App
You can now try the award-winning Peloton app free for 90 days (instead of the usual 30). The app offers boot camp-style workouts, yoga, running, outdoor training, and strength training, along with the cycling workouts they are known for. You can filter the classes by schedule, class type, class length, and the style of music played during the class.
Tone It Up
The folks over at Tone It Up are offering their app free for a month for new signups. This app includes barre, HIIT, yoga, strength, and cardio workouts.
Blogilates
Blogilates has created a 14 Day Quarantine Workout Plan. These at-home workouts are designed to be 25-30 minutes long and “apartment friendly” (That means no jumping around.)
Anytime Fitness
On March 18th, Anytime Fitness has announced it’s free Coach Care Connect program. They will go live weekdays with at-home workouts on their Facebook page at 8:30 am CST.
Down Dog App
The Down Doga App is offering free access until April 1st. The program includes Yoga for Beginners, HIIT, Barre, and their 7 Minute Workout. They are also offering free access to students and teachers until July 1st.
Beachbody Kids Workouts
Beachbody has temporarily posted free Beachbody Kids Workouts to encourage families to work out together while they are at home. “During this unprecedented time, we want to continue helping families stay healthy and sane by offering some fun ways to expend energy together.”
Gold’s Gym
Gold’s Gym is offering it’s Gold’s AMP app free until May 31, 2020. The app includes 600 audio and video workouts. (Note: Offer not valid for existing AMP users. The promo code must be activated by April 30, 2020)
