When did you start your journey?
I started my journey in July, and I’ve lost over 50 pounds to date. I wore an 18/20 and XXL. Now I wear a size 10 and mediums.
What was your motivation to start your journey?
My motivation to change my life was feeling like I could not complete any tasks because I was always tired and sluggish.
How did you change your eating habits?
I focused my eating habits on calorie reduction versus any kind of food restriction. My goal was to make a lifestyle change that I could manage long term, and I knew I couldn’t stick to cutting out certain foods. I used MyFitnessPal to track my eating.
Tell us about your workout routine.
I worked out three days a week for 40 – 45 minutes. Again, I chose something I could stick to for the long term. I started with basic cardio. Eventually, I transitioned to weight lifting and HIIT workouts.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
The biggest lesson I learned was that I can do anything when I focus on small goals instead of big goals. Making small changes and meeting small goals was just as rewarding as getting to the finish line.
What advice would you like to share?
Focus on your ‘Why’ and never lose sight of that. Your ‘Why’ will always keep you going!
