Kyrsten lost 50 pounds. Her passion for fighting climate change and global warming fueled her motivation for switching to a plant-based diet.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
My motivation came from my undeniable desire to battle climate change and global warming. Every day, the food choices I made had an impact on the environment, and this was enough inspiration to keep me going.
How did you change your eating habits?
I adopted a plant-based diet and limited my meat and dairy intake to twice a week or less. This changed how frequently I ate and how much I ate because I would get full faster and stay full longer.
What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you work out?
My workout routines include 30 minutes of home workout videos on YouTube and a 30-minute walk six days a week.

My starting weight was 250 pounds, and my current weight is 200 pounds.

Weight loss is a mental battle, and food is not a solution to my problems.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Be consistent and target your eating habits every time they spiral out of control. Ask yourself, “Why am I eating this? How does this make me feel?” Replace eating with something that uplifts you, something that you enjoy.
