Richetta lost 112 pounds with healthy habits, hard work, and determination. She almost lost her life and her son during childbirth. That was a serious reality check. After that experience, she decided to change her life.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
My health was my motivation. After having my son, I wanted to live longer and see him grow. I almost lost my life and my son’s life during labor. That was a reality check.
For years, I struggled with my weight. I with hard work and dedication, I was able to reach my desired weight.
How did you change your eating habits?
I stopped eating carbs and takeout food. I also cut out red meat, sugar, and juice.
What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you work out?
I worked out five days a week doing cardio. I also worked out with a trainer at the beginning of my journey. Now, I work out daily using a waist trainer, slimming cream, and resistant bands from my company, Chetta Betta Inc.

My starting weight was 270 pounds, and my current weight is 158 pounds.

I started my journey in 2016. It took me almost two years to drop the weight, and I’ve maintained this weight every since.

Consistency is the key. Also, be proud of just starting.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
Don’t give up. Start, even if it’s baby steps. I love to support women and help them.
