    Hi,
I have successfully for one year maintained my Vegetarian lifestyle for a year and five months and my next challenge for my self are realistic ways to cut unhealthy sugars and because I am a single mom I cant afford gym memberships: Suggestions/videos to stay motivated to run/walk and keep active during the cold season.
    I love your blog…so encouraging…

Start by slowly cutting out red meat, pork, and chicken. Replace them with fresh veggies. Stirfry, steam…there are a lot of healthy ways you can cook veggies as well. Also, add brown rice to your diet.

I love the blog and all of the positive motivation that is posted on Facebook from the many members and their success. I really would like to cut back on unhealthy sugars also because I am a real sugarholic. I would also like to cut back on breads and pastas in hopes of reaching my 15 lb weight loss goal within the next six months.

Things were going great until Thanksgiving night. I had a portion of mostly veggies, stuffing, mac/cheese, cranberry sauce & 2 glasses of wine. Nice!!!!! However, the next day I went in, didn’t juice at all, I ate everything, turkey, fish, cake, pie, mac/cheese, stuffing etc., and today is Sunday and I’m sick and my body stinks. My bathroom visits are horrible. So what did I learn? Juicing is clean in every aspect. I’m going back to juicing and eating veggies/fruits and I pray not to fall again because the feeling that comes from eating unhealthyis DISGUSTING. Thank GOD I found this blog. I have friends to motivate me to stay clean &green. Novemember 26, 2012 is kick off :RESTART…..I must remain focused leading up to the Christmas Holiday, because this is another big family event.

I am not sure if this has ever been done before, but what about trying to do a challenge where one of your 3-4 meals was nothing but vegetables. I know we are supposed to eat 2 vegetables every meal, but I think by having one whole meal dedicated to vegetables will allow us to see how we need to incorporate more green leafy vegetables in our daily meal intake. Just a thought from a newbie….

I’m with you Linda. I wasn’t terribly horrible, but was off my game. Thanksgiving night my body rejected the foods and it came back up despite the fact that I had small portions–apparently not small enough. I did manage to juice at least once a day. November 26 is restart–back to my raw foods. My body feels so refreshed on my raw diet.

When you can’t eat the negative impact foods that you want to eat because you are committed to better health, you will feel deprived. No way around that for most people. You have to push past your feelings and stay on course. Cravings and desires for bad food will get better in time, usually in a few days.

I think focusing on more meatless meals would teach those who dont prefer to juice alternative options.

I’m a fairly new member and excited about joining the next challenge! I struggle with evening snacking and consistant workouts..I’d love to be challenged for a month to build any healthy habits..excercise, portion control, incorporating fish the recommended 2-3 times per week – I’m pretty open but looking forward to whatever it is!

A challenge that continues to include exercise but looking at the sodium intake. Cutting back or limiting sodium is essential. I don’t think we realize how much sodium we consume.

I liked the November challenge I lost weight not sure how much because my scale is not working. So for December lets do the November challenge but add two days of fasting from meat . That would be tough for me but I am up for the challenge.

I agree with Annette, continue with the November challenge, however mix it up a bit. Maybe, for the exercise we can do 3 days cardio, 2 day strength training. Also, I am going to buy a Wii or Xbox, to get more exercise in during the winter months.

The exercise part work for me 3-4 days of cardio and 3 days of strength training. Watch you sugar intake and no bread (muffins) is my downfall. HELP!

    Hello everyone,
How about a challenge of losing 10 lbs this month, no bad sugars like chips, cookies, cakes, etc.
We keep calories to no more than 1500 and daily fat grams no more than 40. We eat vegetables and friut daily whether its liquid or solid. I guess my main thing its to lose 10lbs this month and continue with working out five days a week! What do you guys think?

I think we need to focus on more healthy raw eating in conjunction with exercise that helps with depression. The holidays bring an increase in sad people so making sure to get out and get 15 minutes of sunshine everyday , exercise and eating healthy will give you a boost during the winter months.

For the challenge in December we should challenge ourselves to exercise 7 days a week. No rest day. We should only eat meat once a day and replace protein in other meals by having protein shakes or tofu. Have only plain water not flavored.

In my opining losing weight needs to be fun & challenging. I hate feeling like i’m being punished while i’m trying to lose weight. I think exercising 5 days a week, eating 2 fruits and 1 vegetable a day & veggie fridays should be the december challenge!

Goodluck to all the pretty ladies trying to lose weight xox
