My name is Zadia S. and I am a 31 year old single mother of a two year old girl. My daughter is my motivation and I chose to be healthy for her. I was inspired to lose weight because I had prayed for years and never saw this journey through. However, once I started to take it one day at a time and focus only on each day that is what worked for me.
I started eating six small meals a day and I cut out all junk food. Any processed food was thrown in the trash, as well as fast food. I only ate the food I prepped for the week and that really worked.
I workout 5-6 days a week. Each day is dedicated to a different muscle group. I also do cardio 5 times a week.
My starting weight was 331 pounds. My current weight is 213 pounds. I am 6’2″ tall. I started my weight loss journey in February 2014.
My advice for others who want to lose weight: Focus on the day, not the journey. The best advice I can give is stay consistent with your workouts and eating habits. Always keep God first and always make time in your schedule to make workouts a priority.
