Transformation of the Day: Chayla lost 32 pounds in 3 months by going Keto and working out. She learned that time waits for no man, and that you shouldn’t compare your journey to anyone else’s.
What was your motivation?
What motivated me the most to lose weight was that I didn’t feel pretty in pictures, and my clothes just didn’t look right on me.
How did you change your eating habits?
I researched Keto [Ketogenic diet] and changed my eating habits by basically cutting out a lot of carbs. I cut out or tried my best to avoid bread, sugar, beans, and starchy vegetables. I also limited my fruit intake.
Tell us about your workout routine?
My workout out plan was nothing major. I would usually get on the treadmill 3-4 days a week walking on an incline.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My highest weight was 224 pounds in May, but my starting weight in August was 212 pounds. Now, I weigh 180 pounds, so it’s about a 32-pound difference in 3 months. I started my Keto journey on August 25, 2018, and have been dropping weight ever since.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
My biggest lesson that I learned on this journey is that to just keep going because life waits for no one. You can choose to be in the same position next year or a different position with different opportunities.
What advice would you like to share with other people who want to lose weight?
My advice for other people who want to lose weight is just to keep going and don’t compare your weight loss journey to anybody else’s. Everyone’s body is different, and each person is going to lose weight differently.
