Our October Challenge will be a PHOTO Accountability Challenge. We want you to post your photos to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or your personal blog/website using the tag #BWLWOCT to participate. When you sign up for this challenge you are agreeing to post a photo related to your weight loss journey at least 3 times a week. Feel free to post everyday if you like. My personal goal (this is Ajima) is to post photos of what I’ve eaten everyday. I would love to post roundups of your great photos on our blog, Facebook page, Instagram and Pinterest profile to motivate the group (linking back to YOU).

This challenge is all about Accountability! With this challenge, you are showing the proof of your journey through photos and being accountable to the group. Your photos will show the action you are taking to get to where you want to be. You might want to share your ups and downs. You may be sharing a major victory or lesson you’ve learned. You may just be posting a photo of your breakfast or the read out of calories burned on your favorite elliptical machine. Just like we tell children who are doing their math problems to “Show your work” we will be showing ours to the world.
If you participate in this challenge, I promise you that it will be motivating. You will truly be challenged to see what you’re actually doing in terms of eating, exercising and how you feel when you see those photos staring back at you. Also, taking photos is a great way to document your progress and victories, so that if you feel discouraged in the future you can reflect on those photos for encouragement.
Don’t want to show your photos to the world?
That’s fine. You can still join this challenge by doing the work of recording your journey in photos in October for your own benefit. You will also have a record of your process that you can be proud of. You may consider posting photos to your private Facebook page, Instagram or Twitter feed to encourage your friends and family. You could also do this challenge with a friend and trade photos back and forth.

What kinds of photos should you post? It’s up to you. Ideas:
- Photos of what you’re eating – meals and snacks
- Photos of you working out or at the gym
- Photos of the read out screen on exercise equipment showing your calories burned, time, heart rate, etc
- Gym Selfies after working out
- Smoothie Photos
- Photos of the new outfits you can now wear since you’ve lost pounds.
- Photos of your dream outfit
- Quotes and Inspirational images you find online that inspire you and speak to your journey
- Photos of recipes you want to try
- Photos of your meal prep routine
- Photos from the grocery store
- Photos from when you are eating out with friends
- Progress Photos
- Before and After Photos

Those who sign up and participate by posting at least 3 times a week will be eligible for our weekly giveaways in the month of October. Winners will randomly be chosen and notified via email. You will learn about the giveaways via email, so make sure that you are signed up for our email list.
