Great Transformation: Je’Toi lost 70 pounds. She started her journey in January 2015 and she is focused on living a healthier life. She shared with us about the simple, straight forward actions she took that have paid off for her.
My name is Je’Toi Johnson. At 44 years old, I weighed in at 290 pounds. I remember looking at the picture of myself, and becoming very depressed. Instead of staying in that dark place, I decided to change my outlook on life.
I took the initiative to become a healthy woman. I began my journey in January 2015. I have lost 70 pounds. I got up out of the lazy lifestyle and started walking 5 miles a day, except Sunday. I changed the old eating habits that weighed me down. I started by cutting down my carb intake, and eliminating meats, soda, juice, and junk food.
Now, I feel absolutely wonderful. I’m still on my journey to become a better person. I will continue my journey to be healthy, because anything worth having is worth fighting for. I truly desire to be healthy, and to see my progress has been awesome. This is one of the best accomplishments I’ve made in my life.
