Frankie lost 118 pounds/53 kg. This sista wrote to us from London, where she used the Slimming World plan to release the weight. Her initial motivation was getting into a wedding dress. After that relationship ended, her passion for dance kept her going.
My name is Frankie, and I am from London, UK. Initially, my motivation was to get into a wedding dress and please my ex-fiancé. Then, when we broke up, I continued my journey with the goal of being able to dance again. It was my passion in the past, and when I got heavier, I couldn’t dance in the way I wanted to.
How did you change your eating habits?
I followed the Slimming World plan where no food is forbidden, but moderation is key. I eat loads of vegetables and fruit (They make up 1/3 of my plate).
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was: 21 stone 12lbs (306lbs /139 kg) on the 29th of October 2019. My current weight is 13 stone 6lbs (188 lbs /85kg).
What is your height?
I am 5’7″.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
I have learned to fully accept the gains along the way. I will never have a perfect journey. If I fail, I can start again and know all is not lost.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
My advice would be to know your why and get deep with it. It has to be for you and no one else.
