Photo Update Oct 2015: Juhanna has been on her weight loss journey for 3 years and is still going strong! She is a SkyZone Fitness Trampoline Expert in the Raleigh/Durham area. She sent us this link to a recent article on her journey from blogger Shenette Jones.
Sept 2014 – Today’s Success Story! Juhanna of @iamjuhanna is one of my favorite fitness folks on Instagram. She shares tons of pictures from her weight loss journey and lots of helpful information with her followers. This amazing mom is very committed to her wellness journey and has gone from a size 2x to a size small. Here is what she shared…
Good Morning! Wanted to share my fitness journey with you! After having my daughter back in 2009, I was wearing a size 14/16 in pants and a size 2X or XL in shirts and dresses. I wasn’t happy with how my body was beginning to look, so I decided to make the commitment in 2012 to live a healthy and fit lifestyle! I dropped down to a size small in 8 months and have kept it off since then.
I cook only baked, grilled, sautéed or steamed foods. I also eat more chicken and fish now. I only drink water, teas, coffee and smoothies. I stopped eating fried foods, drinking juices or sodas. I didn’t have a gym membership during that 8 months and I still don’t. I did 30 day challenges at home, Leslie Samson DVDs, Zumba on Xbox Kinect, Betty Rocker challenges and running. I’ve lost 67 lbs. I’m 5’2″.
I will admit that it hasn’t been the easiest process, but it has been worth it. I encourage each and everyone of you to take this step. “For your greatest wealth is your health.” When you pass away, there will only be the memory of how you invested in yourself and others. Money and objects will be no more. Remember that!
