Update June 2014 – Kema wrote to share with us that she’s down 24 more pounds for a total of 63 pounds! She says, “I’ve been working out 3 to 4 days a week. I’m still eating clean and drinking nothing but WATER. I’m at 214 and now I wear a size 16 or a 1x Yay!! That’s down from a size 18/22 and a 3x. It was so hard to loose those additional 24 pounds but I’m not stopping until I’m 168 pounds. Thanks!”

Hello, I’m 32 year old mother of one. I’ve just moved to PA from Hotlanta. In February 2012 I was hospitalized with PE (Pulmonary embolism), that’s when you have a blood clot in your lung. For the whole month of February, I was in the hospital. After I was released, a few months later I moved to Pennsylvania. That’s when I found out I had hypertension. I said enough is enough.
In September 26 2013, when I began my new healthy life i was 277 pounds & today I weigh 238 pounds I decided to change my eating habits. Where I live they have a gym, so I decided to start going to the gym. Everyday my daughter would go with me as my support team. I started noticing my face was going down. Then, I went to Target and bought a scale and noticed I had lost 15 pounds. So, I posted pictures on Facebook and Instagram for motivation. Now, I’m just so enjoying my new lifestyle. My doctor has dropped down one of my blood pressure meds. I’m so happy and my family & friends are happy for me. I will continue on my journey until I’m of blood pressure medication. I’ve joined planet fitness for the free trainer and adopted a healthy way of eating and love it. I’m still working hard every day because this year i will be off blood presser meds. That’s my motivation. my healthy in Jesus name! Amen.”
