Weight Loss Success Story of the Day: Staci lost 106 pounds. This mom learned to change her eating habits with food substitutions and by making healthier choices. Here is what she shared with us:

My name is Staci Smith. My starting weight was 318 pounds. I was confident with who I was, but only because I felt that it would be too hard of a challenge to change. My friend had the idea to lose 100 pounds and buy motorcycles. The motorcycle was the initial motivation to begin my journey. I started June 2012 with the HCG diet. It turned out to be the most depriving
and miserable diet I have ever been on. I did that for a year, but every time I stopped, I gained the weight back…And then some!!! However, I did manage to lose about 40 pounds before I started taking Plexus Slim supplements in Sept 2013. It helped regulate blood sugar levels, blood pressure. I felt better because with this weight loss plan I wasn’t binge eating anymore and I started wanting to make healthier eating choices.
I substituted Lay’s Potato chips with almonds and lettuce for spinach because of the protein. I had wheat noodles with my mac n cheese. I had greek yogurt on my tacos instead of sour cream, used portion control and drank lots of water. I just made a lot of substitutions. I still ate a snickers when my monthly cycle came, but I wasn’t eating one everyday of my cycle like I used to. I didn’t have the motivation to go to they gym until February 2014. I was scared of the whole gym experience. However, I signed up because by this time I needed to tone up. I originally lost weight for my motorcycle, but after a while, I began to think about my kids. They have truly been the driving force behind sticking to my regimen and getting back up when I fall. Everyday is not perfect, but GOD’s grace and mercy helps me along the way. Today, I weigh 212 pounds and the journey is not over!!!
