Transformation of the Day: Dye lost 55 pounds. This first-time mom was told that post-pregnancy weight loss would be harder for her due to her age, but she proved that wrong. After realizing that she wasn’t doing Keto correctly, she did her research and not only improved her health but her mother’s as well.
My name is Dye Unique. I am 41 year old first-time mom of a two year old. I have lost a total of 55 pounds after having my son. I lost 25 of those pounds in the last two months.
After my pregnancy, I gained about 60 pounds. My highest weight was 226 pounds. Post-pregnancy, I lost about 30 pounds after giving birth. Like most moms, I struggled to lose the remainder of my weight. I nursed for about a year and tried every plan you could think of, including Keto, but I did not lose any weight.
I later realized I was not doing Keto correctly. I was at a standstill with my weight and knew I had to do something. During a trip to visit my mother, I decided to look more into Keto because my mother’s sugar levels were alarmingly high (over 400). I decided to research Keto again, and this time my mom and I both did it. We tracked our personalized Macronutrients and recorded our food and fat intake. OMG, all I can say is, “It WORKS!” My mother’s sugar became stable (the lowest it’s been in years).
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
What motivated me to lose weight was being an older mom and being told it would be hard for me to lose the weight at my age. Two things that inspired me were the desire to look even better after child birth (hot mama) and be healthy for my son.
How did you change your eating habits?
I lost weight with a clean, keto diet. I completely cut out sugar and began to eat clean. I ate only organic proteins and healthy fats. I fell in love with the lifestyle so much that I became a certified keto coach through keto guru Dr. Berg. Now, I help others to lose weight by offering 60-day weight loss programs.
What was your workout routine? How many days a week do you workout?
I lost the majority of my weight without working out. However, to tone, I have begun doing moderate cardio three times a week for at least 30 minutes.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight after pregnancy was 210 pounds. My current weight is 155 pounds.

I started my weight loss journey in July 2020, but I lost the most weight with Keto within the last 60 days.

That it just takes the mindset to do it. Once you make up your mind to do it, nothing and no one can stop you.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
START and set small goals. Plan out your meals and get coaching if necessary.
