I was tired of not being able to climb a flight of stairs without taking a break! I wanted so badly to change my life but didn’t know how to. Then, I found out that my cousin was a trainer and that she is very affordable. So, I gave her a try, but I didn’t change my eating habits and thus I didn’t lose much weight.
I prayed and asked God to help me and he did. I started to love the taste of veggies and water which was a miracle, because I used to hate them both. LOL. I still eat what I want to, but in moderation. Also, I don’t waste my calories unless it’s a dessert! My heaviest weight was 236 pounds and now I weigh 161 pounds (my height is 5’1″ tall).
I meet with my cousin her every Saturday morning and she gives me meal plans and workouts to do at home until we meet the following week. I have been on my journey for 2 years in August. I reached a plateau at one point, so I incorporated hip hop dance into my workout.
If I could offer any advice to others, I would say pray a lot and stay focused on your goal. If you fall off the wagon please don’t beat yourself up just get back up and try to keep going!
