“My motivation was me believing that I didn’t have to stay in the state I was in, and believing that God wanted to do a work through me. When I wanted to give up, I had to remind myself that it wasn’t about me, but that God wanted to use me to encourage other people. When I stated [my weight loss journey], I stopped drinking soda. I cut down on eating fried foods, sweets and bread. I stated eating more baked food, green vegetables, and drinking more water. I didn’t have a specific diet plan. I work out 4 to 5 times a week. On two days, I’ll do cardio and arms, and on the other days I’ll do cardio and legs. My starting weight was 310 pounds. Now, 1 year later, I’m at 260 pounds. I’m 6 feet tall. I started my journey on August 5, 2015. My advice to others is to never give up, and to definitely include the Lord in your fitness journey. Without him, I couldn’t have done it!”
