What was your motivation?
My health and my desire to love my own reflection was my motivation.
What inspired you when you wanted to give up?
When I wanted to give up, I was inspired by my strong desire for who I am on the inside to be reflected on the outside. I’m also a life coach who worked with a coach to change my thoughts and beliefs about food and health, to make better choices and to be consistent.
How did you change your eating habits?
I stopped skipping meals and started eating every 2-3 hours. I also eat on a saucer as opposed to a large plate. I started drinking more water daily as well. I allow myself to eat whatever I want in moderation. I no longer diet and I now have a healthy relationship with food.
What did your workout routines look like?
I walk up to 5 miles at least 5 days a week. I also do Zumba and yoga classes periodically. I also meditate.
Starting weight/Current weight
I started at 265 pounds and I currently weigh 199 pounds.
What is your height?
How long did your transformation take?
My journey began in January of 2016. 8 months and counting.
What advice do you have for others who want to lose weight?
My advice would be to stop dieting and create a lifestyle change to better your health and the beauty will follow. I also advise working with a life coach who specializes in NLP (Neuro-linguistic programing) because by changing your thoughts, your behaviors will follow.
