What was your motivation?
My motivation was my daughters. I would look at my girls’ faces when I wanted to give up.
How did you change your eating habits?
I gave up fried foods, soda and fast food. I ate less and I only drank water and green tea. I now eat foods that are rich in protein and avoid carbs since my surgery. Sample menu for a day is: Breakfast: a protein bar, followed by a bottle of water. Lunch and dinner: Baked chicken, with either broccoli or green beans. Sometimes, I may have brown rice. I follow this up with bottled water or green tea.

My starting weight was 318 pounds, and my current weight is 218.4 pounds. I am 5’7″ tall.
How long did your transformation take?
My journey started on April 26, 2016, the transformation so far been 9 months total. I had successful Gastric Sleeve weight loss surgery in October 2016.
What is your advice for other people who want to lose weight?
My advice to others would be that if you are serious about something give your all and when times get hard, never give up.
