Jeanita lost 84 pounds. This busy mom of 4 no longer wanted to be the “fat mom”. She wanted to be comfortable in her skin and climb stairs without losing her breath. After her doctor put her high blood pressure medication, she knew that she had to make some changes. Check out her story.
What was your motivation?
When my doctor put me on high blood pressure pills. That’s when I knew it was really serious and I had to change. Also, I just didn’t like how I looked.
What inspired you when you wanted to give up?
The before and after pictures helped. People telling me I look great also helped. I felt better period.
How did you change your eating habits?
I started with Herbalife and lost 25 pounds. I stopped using Herbalife because it got too expensive after my first 2 orders and I wanted to do it naturally. I cut out fried foods, red meat, soda and juice.
What did your workout routines look like?
During the first month, I just walked more. Then I started taking Vixen Workout Dance Class and it was amazing. However, I had to stop due to it becoming too expensive and it was too far to travel to the classes. After that, I worked out 3 times a week. Now, I workout 5-6 times a week. I do cardio, lift weights and use machines at my local gym.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 330 pounds and I currently weight 246 pounds. My height is 5’10”.
How long did your transformation take?
I started in May 2016. It’s been about 7 months and I’m still in the process.
What would you share with other people who want to lose weight?
You have to really want it. It’s gonna be tough, believe that. I have 4 children. My youngest are a set of twins and 3 years old. I also work 50 hours a week, so it has been tough. The pain my body felt at first made me want to give up, but I want to be here for my family more. I want to be comfortable in my skin. I want to be able to go to an amusement park with my children and be confident that I’ll fit on the rides. I wanna be able to climbs steps without losing my breath. I no longer wanted to be the FAT mom. I’m doing this for me.
