My name is Manteca. I was motivated to start my weight loss journey by my grandmother, after she made the decision to start losing weight. At the beginning of my journey, I cut out sugary drinks. From there, I cut out pork and beef. I only ate turkey, chicken and fish. I also started eating more vegetables and fruits. For exercise, I worked out 6 days a week. I stared with weight training and from there added cardio training.
My highest weight was 302 pounds. As of August 2014, I weighed 292 pounds. From then to now, I reached my current weight of 248 pounds, for a total loss of 54 pounds. My goal is to get down to 190 pounds and my height is 5’7″.
I am still working hard to reach my goal. The only advice I can give to others who want to lose weight is that it never matters how many times you have tried and failed, as long as you keep trying.
