Weight Loss Story of the Day: Kiera lost 63 pounds. She was inspired by stories from other women who simply worked to be “consistent”. I love that because that is the true secret to weight loss. Without consistent positive action, your life won’t be changed in the way you want it to. Here is what she shared with us:
My name is Kiera and I’ve lost 63 pounds. My motivation came from seeing a picture that I posted of myself on Instagram. For the first time, I realized just how big I had gotten. Also, prior to my relationship at the time, I was roughly 170 pounds. Thus, I had gained 86 pounds in the course of 3 years. I was inspired by other women who lost weight successfully by just being consistent. I changed my eating habits by cutting out fast food and starches. I also watched the amount of food I ate and made sure not to eat late. Alcohol was another big thing I had to cut out.
At first, I didn’t workout much because just changing what I ate made a huge difference. Now, I just run/walk 2 miles at least 4 times a week. My starting weight was 261. My current weight is 198. I’m 5’6. It took me a year to lose the weight, but I still want to lose another 30 pounds. My advice would be just to stick with it. It’s a slow process, but quitting won’t speed it up.
