Weight Loss Transformation of the Day: Naiga lost 80 pounds. Changing her diet and doing a lot of strength training helped transform her body. Here is what she shared with us…
My name is Naiga Rehema. I strated working on losing the weight on the 1st February in 2014. I weighed 87 kg (191 pounds) and now I weigh 50kg (111 pounds). I’m 5’5″.
How did you change your eating habits?
To begin, I started my day with 2 glasses of warm water with lemon. Around 10 o’clock, I had one apple and later my lunch was veggies only. I also ate all my meals before 6pm. No weits, fries or red meat.
What did your workout routines look like?
During the first 6 months, I worked out 5 days a week in the gym, 1 hour everyday, and went jogging during the weekends. I did 30 min of cardio, 30 min of strength training at the gym. The moves I did were Biceps curl, Step-up, Modified push-ups, Shoulder press lunge, Back Pow in a partial squat and Squat with lateral raise.
How long did your transformation take?
In 6 months, I was 65 kg (143). Then with more training I was down to 50kg. I have been maintaining it for 3 months now.
What advice do you have for others who want to lose weight?
That everything is possible if you put your mind on it. Also, drink as much water as you can. Diet and working out is the key to the fit and sexy body.
