Transformation of the Day: Tori lost 98 pounds. Tired of living with various health problems, including pre-diabetes and high blood pressure, she used weight loss surgery and healthy habits to change her life.
What was your motivation?
At only 32 years old, I had numerous health issues and weight-related problems due to being prediabetic, taking high blood pressure medicine daily, etc. I didn’t want that for my life.
What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
I never wanted to give up. I knew that with consistency, it could only get better, not worse.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started my journey seven months ago, in August 2022.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
I had gastric sleeve surgery in August 2022.
How did you change your eating habits? I stopped eating fast food, fried food, and simple carbs. (like ordinary bread, regular pasta, rice, sugar, etc.) I replaced those foods with high-protein foods and complex carbs, with protein being my top priority.
What is your workout routine? How often did you work out?
I work out at least three days a week at the gym doing cardio and strength training, but nothing over the top.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 283 pounds, and my current weight is 185 pounds.
What is your height?
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Please do it for yourself, not because of society’s standards or a spouse, but only yourself. The results will stick better in terms of longevity because YOU are the most consistent factor in your life, not outside influences.
