Britt’nee lost 36 pounds. As a single parent, she wanted to have the best mental and physical health possible. She worked hard to figure out the right balance of carbs, fats, and protein and worked out 5-6 days a week.
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
My motivation was my son. I wanted to be healthy to keep up with him. Being a single parent, I have to do it all. I needed to get into my best shape mentally and physically. I worked on my mental health and physical health to achieve total wellness.
How did you change your eating habits?
When I first started, I just stopped eating red meat and pork and cut back on carbs. I got some results, but it wasn’t great results. Once I learned about nutrition, I learned that I needed carbs, fats, and protein in moderation to fuel my body. I still don’t eat red meat or pork, but I have chicken, turkey, fish, and lots of vegetables and fruits. I also use Herbalife nutrition supplements for added vitamins and minerals.
What did your workout routine consist of? How often did you work out
I started by doing cardio five days a week, and now I strength train and incorporate cardio as well. I currently work out six times a week with active rest days.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
I started at 233 pounds. That weight was my heaviest. I currently weigh 197 pounds.

When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I’ve been into health and fitness since 2015, but I was never consistent. I started consistently working out and incorporated proper nutrition in June 2020. Within two months, I saw a major change. I’m still working on toning up.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
I did not have weight loss surgery, but I was considering getting liposuction at one point. I only wanted to lose about ten more pounds, and I was told I needed to lose 10 lbs to qualify. I thought to myself, “If I can lose 10 lbs for this, I can do it without surgery.” That’s what I’ve been achieving.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
My biggest lesson has been patience. I expected results overnight in the past. When I didn’t get them, I would give up. I had to change my mindset and do a lot of self-discipline and development. Once I did that, I was able to focus on getting the work done, and the results came with it easily.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Just show up every day. Don’t focus on the pounds or the scale. Focus on nutrition and the work. Also, lift weights to build strength. The results will come.
