Weight Loss Transformation of the Day: Kiara lost 60 pounds. Â This mom lost the weight with portion control, cleaning up her eating habits and exercising. Â Here is what she shared with us about her journey…
My name is Kiara and I started my weight loss journey in 2007. At my heaviest I was weighing in at 242 pounds. I went to the doctor and was depressed. I immediately started working out and dieting. That didn’t last long, because after lost 7 lbs and found out I was pregnant.
Post-pregnancy, I was at 267 lbs (I am 5’7″ tall). I began again in Nov. 2008 and lost 60 lbs. I still have work to go. I watched portions and limited fried and fast food. I worked out at least an hour per day, 5 days a week. Sometimes, I’d workout twice in a day.
It has been a long journey and the work never stops. Over the years, I have seen my weight fluctuate 10-15 pounds, back and forth. I have about 20 more pounds that I’d like to get off before I reach my goal weight, so stay tuned. I’m not finished yet…Lol.
For others wanting to lose weight, I’d say you have to ask yourself how bad do I really want this? Once I put my mind to it I was all in and it was well worth it. I felt better and I was so happy I didn’t have to go to the plus size section anymore.
