What was your starting weight? 242 pounds
What is your current weight? 179.2 pounds
How have you maintained your weight loss/continued to lose weight?
I do not believe in complete restriction, so I focus on flexible dieting. I have a set amount (grams) of protein, carbs, and fats that I aim to hit each day. It keeps good from getting boring and allows me to enjoy things so I don’t end up binging :). I also get anywhere from 8000-12000 steps per day and weight train three times a week.
Which of the lessons you’ve learned on your journey stands out the most at this point?
Find things that WORK FOR YOU. Make it fun. Push yourself. There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to a fitness journey/lifestyle.
Would you like to offer any new or different advice to women who want to lose weight?
Same as above! Experiment with various workouts and create a plan based on what works for you.
Weight training is your best friend if you want to snatch your waist and create an hourglass. Also make sure you are getting at LEAST 125 grams of protein a day if you want to see that muscle do work!!
