What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up?
I honestly had to change my mindset. I knew I was not the woman I imagined myself being as a child. I also needed to make a change because I knew I didn’t want to pass down my unhealthy habits to my children.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
Yes, I had the Gastric Sleeve. [vertical sleeve gastrectomy (VSG)]
How did you change your eating habits?
I honestly let go of all things that didn’t benefit me anymore. I have stopped consuming carbs and sugar.
What is your workout routine?
I have been weight training. I am excited to elevate and go further in my workouts!
How often did you work out?
I work out 3 to 4 times a week.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 310 pounds. As of today, I weigh 245 pounds.
What is your height?
I am 5’5″.
When did you start your journey?
I started my journey in April of this year (2022) with weight loss surgery.
How long did your transformation take?
It has been three months so far.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
You are the only thing standing in your way!!!
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Stop giving up on yourself. If you can dream about it, be about it.
