Transformation of the Day: Lashai lost 51 pounds with healthy food, juicing, and exercise. She began her journey in January because she wanted to be an active mom. At the time, she had trouble walking without getting winded.
I have been on a weight loss journey since January 1st! I’ve lost a total of 51 pounds, and I’m still going!
What was your motivation?
My motivation to get started was my children. At the time, my daughter was one, and my son was 13 years old. I just needed to give my daughter an active mother, not the one who couldn’t walk more than 3 minutes without being winded.
How did you change your eating habits?
I started juicing more (making fresh juice at home). I replaced some of my meals with fresh veggie juice and ate more green and healthier meals. I also only consumed water (a gallon a day).
What is your workout routine?
When I started in January, I couldn’t walk more than 3 minutes without being winded and excruciating back pain! I kept at it every day. I walked on the treadmill as much as possible, and before I knew it, I could walk 45 minutes with no breaks!
How many days a week did you work out?
I worked out when I could. Some days my knees bothered me so much (arthritis in both), so I may have exercised 3-4 days a week.
What is your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 421 pounds, and my current weight is 370 pounds.
What is your height?
When did you start your weight loss journey?
I started my journey officially on January 1st of this year. It took me four almost five months to lose 61 pounds. Then I gained ten back for a total of 51 pounds lost so far!
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No, I didn’t have weight loss surgery.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight? I would say just go for it! Please don’t wait another day or minute. Don’t wait until Monday or next month. Do it right now! Life is short, and we want to be around for it!
