What was your motivation?
My motivation was seeing someone else being successful and knowing that I needed to loose weight too. I had been on a roller coaster weight loss journey all of my life, struggling with diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure. I knew I needed to do something. My family has a history of various medical conditions. I did not want to have to take medicine for the rest of my life or have any of my body parts amputated due to illness.
One day, I was strolling through Facebook and saw a young lady’s transformation story on Black Women Losing Weight’s page. I read about her journey and how she lost weight successfully. The program she used [Fitness on Fire] didn’t seem like a struggle, so I decided I would try it and see if it could work for me.
How did you change your eating habits?
The Fitness On Fire Online Training program’s nutritionist set up a program that I followed. My eating habits changed tremendously. I stopped eating all the fatty foods that I use to eat. I cut out all pork and beef. I ate healthy meals and healthy snacks every day. My eating plan consisted of lot of whole grain foods as well. I also stopped eating anything after 8:00 pm. I learned that water is very important and drank 84.5 ounces or more per day. Following the FOF program I am never hungry.
What did your workout routine consist of?
I started working out for one hour and then it increased 90 minutes per day. I had a workout regimen that was designed by my fitness trainer “King of the Fire“. I did HIIT and resistance training. I go to the gym 5 to 6 days per week, faithfully.
I have been on several other programs before, but there was never a program that worked for me like the Fitness on Fire Online Training program has. Being able to communicate with my nutritionist and personal trainer when I needed them is definitely a plus for me. Being closely monitored on a daily basis helped me to be more accountable about what I put into my mouth. It’s a very convenient and wonderful program. The program also fit my lifestyle and work schedule.
How long did your transformation take?
I started this journey in Feb 2016. It has been about 10 months
What advice do you have for others who want to lose weight?
My advice to others: Believe in yourself! Have a made up mind and a strong desire to want to change your life.
