What was your motivation?
To fit into my old clothes and to feel better about my appearance. I was having difficulty walking up steps and getting in my car. My also breathing felt labored.
I had to keep purchasing new clothes and undergarments every few months because nothing fit, and I just kept putting on more weight.
What inspired you to start your weight loss journey?
I was inspired when I looked at Fitness on Fire‘s page and saw everyone’s amazing transformations, especially Porche’s transformation. It popped up in my feed, and my excitement grew. After stalking their page for a few hours, I was sold on their program!
I’ve tried Noom, fitness apps, and even a personal trainer at $350 a month. The reason why they never worked is that their assistance/programs were not well-rounded. Either it was targeting the nutrition aspect or the physical aspect, but never both together. Fitness on Fire worked for me and can work for others because the combination of the two achieves the best results! However, only if the client is dedicated, determined, accountable, and consistent!
How did you change your eating habits?
Fitness on Fire comes with a registered dietitian, and she instructed me on what I could and could not eat to achieve my goal body. Plus, I’m being monitored daily and held accountable.
What did you stop or start eating?
Eleven months before joining Fitness on Fire, I stopped eating all meat and became a pescatarian. Other than that, I started eating more of a balanced and well-rounded meal based on the instructions and guidance of my dietitian, NutritionistGuru.
What did your workout consist of?
I began working out daily following the workout regimen from my online trainer, “King of the Fire,” who is the online trainer for this amazing program. The workouts were geared to helping me drop the excess body fat in my target areas, mainly stomach, back fat, inner thighs, arms, and all over my body.
The workout regimen also was targeted to help me enhance my shape and reach the goal body I wanted. So overall, my workouts were the workout regimen given by my trainer. I work out 4-5 days a week.
How long did your transformation take?
My transformation took eight months, although honestly, I believe it took a consistent six months because there were times that I would skip a whole week at the beginning (or 4-5 days here and there). So all in all, I would say a consistent six months.
I started seeing noticeable results within two months, which motivated me to keep pushing myself.
What advice do you have for people who want to lose weight?
I know this sounds like a cliche, but if I can do it, anyone can! I am 43 years old and only became active at 42. It took me a long time to find my motivation, but I’m so happy I did. Most importantly, I decided to give back to myself and make time. Not find time, but instead, MAKE time to give back to me by being fit and active.
I would say to myself, “Either I can scroll for an hour on Instagram, Facebook, or YouTube, which won’t do anything to make me feel better about myself. Or, I can go to the gym and use that hour to give back to this wonderful body that does so much for me each day.
From my eyes (the moment I open them) to the soles of my feet that willingly takes me in any direction I so choose, I should respect the body that does so much for me!
