Update: I have lost a total of 41 pounds as of March 17, 2017. I now weigh 212 pounds. The biggest lesson that I have learned on this journey is to never give up. I have days when I don’t feel like exercising and I don’t always eat right, but I keep going. I recently got back into really trying to reach my goals. I have also learned that detoxing my body everyday is a big help towards me reaching my goals and that it helps my overall health. My advice to anyone who is trying to lose weight is to never give up. Don’t put it off another day. Go for it and give it your all. If you mess up, that is okay. Keep going until you reach your goal. Quitting is not an option for me anymore!

Bianca lost 29 pounds. She began her journey in Oct 2016 and has made great progress. High blood pressure and thyroid issues didn’t stop this dedicated mom. Working out at home and adopting healthy eating habits have made a big difference. Check out what she shared with us.

I am a 35 year old mother of two and I have been battling weight for many years. I was always small growing up, so I never exercised or ate healthy. Over the years that changed. I tried many diets and even contemplated taking weight loss supplements. My wake up call came when I went to a doctor’s appointment in September of this year and found out that I weighed over 250 pounds. I broke down right then and there at the office and vowed that I would lose weight and never gain it back. I was determined.
I started my journey on October 20, 2016. My motivation to change was my children, because I want to be healthy and around for them for years. My blood pressure was extremely high, even with the medication and I have thyroid issues that I take medication for as well.
Eating Habits: I started by not eating sweets, drinking plenty of water and cutting out sugary drinks. I also cut my bread intake drastically and I ate healthy portion sizes. I don’t believe in diets. I am simply eating less and making better choices about what I eat. I no longer eat fast food. Instead, I eat lots of fruits and veggies (which I did not do before).
Exercise: I started out by walking and working out with ONdemand videos (which are a big help to me). The videos consist of cardio and walking in place and worked out with them for 30 minutes a day. Now, I workout 30-60 minutes a day, 6 days a week. I only did one day at the gym and I did not like that experience.
I have loss a total of 29 pounds. My starting weight was 253 lbs. and now I weigh 224 lbs. I have a long way to go, but I am confident that I will get there! My advice to others would be to never give up. If you slip up, keep going. I have slipped up and gained weight on my journey, but I kept going and the weight kept coming off. Connect with others who are trying to accomplish what you are. Surround yourself with positive people. Also, I weight myself just once a week, because I feel that weighing yourself everyday can cause you to get discouraged.
